We are the chosen.  In each family there are those who seem to be called to find the ancestors.  It is our responsibility to put flesh on their bones and make them live again. We are the ones to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Our family history is not meant to be a cold gathering of facts but, instead, an opportunity to breath life into all who have gone before us. Yes, we are the storytellers of the tribe.  All tribes have one or more. Actually, those who have gone before us cry out to us, "Tell our story!" So, we do. In telling our stories we somehow find ourselves.

How many times have you told our branches and twigs that "We have a wonderful family. Our ancestors would be so very proud of us." How many times have you walked up to a family member’s grave and felt, there was love there for you?  At each grave site we need to remember that the bones there are bones of our bones and flesh of our flesh.

We take pride in what our ancestors were able to accomplish, how they contributed to what we are today. Today we respect their hardships and victories and losses, their never giving in or giving up, the resoluteness to go on and build a life for their family goes to a deep and immense understanding that they were doing it for us. Therefore, it is up to those called the branches twigs and buds  to answer the call, and take your place in the line of family storytellers. That is why this website of  family genealogy was started, and that is the purpose of calling those young and seasoned to step up and restore the memory and to greet those whom we had never known before.
